Welcome back and Happy New Year!
Our first term of Clubs has been amazing, we had lots of fun taking part in craft activities, sports and dance. We also had a lovely evening enjoying our very own Sunset Come Dine with me evening where the children made and cooked Garlic bread to start, followed by pasta bake as main and topped off with a delicious caramel dessert!
Sadly though we had to say goodbye to Mr Addlesee as he has left after 4 years on Clubs, we wish him all the best in his new venture.
This term we begin our clubs the week beginning the 14th January, we will continue to finish a little earlier this term at 4.30pm due to the dark and cold nights. We have lots of fun and exciting activities planned including a visit from Animals UK and a trip to Frankie and Benny's, alongside these two activities we have lots of sports and crafts planned.
Our last week of clubs for this term will be the week beginning 11th February.
Sunset Kids Club 2018-2019
Welcome back to Sunset Kids Club; this year we have some changes to our clubs' nights.
We now have a dedicated clubs room which is great as this gives it a more relaxed and homely feel. We will be finishing clubs at 4:30 pm until February half term. This is to enable the children to travel home before any adverse winter weather conditions and to enable some of the young children attending clubs the opportunity to attend without being overwhelmed with the length of the school day. We have lots of new and exciting activities planned throughout the year. This term we have dance, Come Dine with Me, outside cinema and hot dogs along with sports and other craft activities. We will keep you updated throughout the year.
Please note there will be no After School Clubs week beginning the 3rd December due to the Lincoln Christmas Market. Our last week of clubs before Christmas will be the week beginning 10th December.

Term 1 has been fantastic...............
So our new academic year of clubs has begun with a fun filled first term!
During this term we have had the opportunity to take part in some Archery with Activities Away, this has enabled both the children and adults to join in and learn some Archery skills. The weather wasn't always kind during this trip but thanks to the staff at Activities Away they made the children a delicious hot chocolate to warm them through!
We also went and played crazy golf at Daisy Maid and enjoyed a delicious ice cream! Activities in school this term have ranged from popcorn olympics, dance, science toxic slime, trunk skittles and our very own Halloween bakeoff; where we created eyeballs, spider biscuits and pumpkin cornflake cakes. To end our term we had a movie night with popcorn, hot chocolate and some lovely party food! We look forward to term 2 which we have filled with even more exciting activities!
Have a great half term and we will see you on the 7th/8th November!
Term 4 .....................
The adults are happy to announce that this term the After School Club is officially back up and running! YAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
We have only been back a short time but so far we are making up for lost time and have already been on a trip to horse riding, had a Minions themed night and made some Minions crafts. Played some games outside as well as in in the sports barn, such as; dodge ball and kickball rounder. We have even baked some scrummy treats to take home. There's still lots more exciting things happening this term, be sure to come back and check in the coming weeks. Keep your fingers crossed for us for some sunny weather.
Look what we have been doing during term 2:
We have taken part in a wide range of activities from ball skills, circuits, chocolate mania, a visit to the park, wheel chair basketball and much more.

We have had a great term and we are all looking forward to the start of the new term in 2016 with lots more new and exciting activities.
Have a lovely Christmas from all of the Sunset staff!
Look what we got up to in Term 3:
This term we had "Lab Rascals" come to school to allow us to take part in some exciting science experiments.
We also had our very own Sunset come dine with me, each group made either the starter, main, and pudding. All the pupils ate together whilst being waited on by the Sunset adults!
Fun was had at our "Charlie and the chocolate factory" inspired evening, with lots of creative sweet making!
To end our term we all went for a lovely meal at Pizza Hut where all pupils behaved exceptionally well and fun was had by all!
We look forward to the exciting activities that next term will bring!!
Look what we have been doing in term 4:
This has been a very short term on clubs however we have managed to squeeze in lots of activities. We have spent time outside when the weather was nice doing lots of team sport events!
We have created lots of craft activities including designing our very own t-shirts and pencil cases that looked fantastic.
To end the term we had a trip to Fun Farm and great fun was had by all.
We begin our new term of clubs on Wednesday 20th April and Thursday 21st April, we have horse riding, first aid and lots more activities planned for this term!
Term 5 has been epic.......
WOW what can I say, term 5 has been packed with activities from Horse Riding, First Aid even a whole clubs trip to Rand Farm! We have managed to spend much of our time out in the fresh air!
All pupils who took part in the First Aid training over two nights, achieved their certificates and I would feel confident to be treated by any one of the them now! You all did us proud! We attended The Haven Equestrian Centre for our horse riding this term, this was the first time Sunset Kids club had ever visited this centre and I am pleased and proud to say everybody behaved impeccably. All pupils treat the horses with the respect they deserved! Certificates to follow next term. We also took a whole clubs trip to Rand Farm to bottle feed the calves and enjoy the fantastic outdoor play area. We begin our final term for this academic year on the 6th of June and we start off with a trip to Kayaking, please ensure all consent forms are signed and returned. All children need to bring a swimming kit and a pair of old trainers or shoes that can be worn in the water. These swimming kits need to be brought into school on the 6th June and remain in school until the 14th June when all children will have had the opportunity to take part. Clubs will end on the 30th June for the summer!
Wow what an amazing term 6 we have had.......
Term 6 was a very short term however we have managed to fill it with some lovely activities.
We have created lots of things using food from Banana Penguins to Marshmallow wands, all tasting absolutely delicious!!!!
Kayaking with Activities Away was great fun with all of the children and adults having a super time in the water with lots of team building activities!
For our final week on clubs we had the Misfits Circus group come in to school and perform a comedy show just for us, it was great to see all of the happy faces and the sound of laughter was heart warming.
We wish all of our year 6 Clubs children all the best in their future schools and we have enjoyed every minute you have spent on clubs.
From all of the staff at Sunset Kids Club we would like to wish you all a lovely summer holidays and we look forward to some new and exciting activities in September!
