Children in Need

9th November 2020

Dear Parent/Carer

Fortuna’s, Children in Need fundraising day will take place on Friday 13th November.

“Children in Need” is a charity that provides grants to projects in the UK and abroad which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged.

For our Children in Need Assembly we will be wearing something yellow.

On Friday 13th November children can come into school wearing something yellow that is suitable for school, if they wish to.

All children will participate in this event, if you would like to send a donation of £1 on the day it would be much appreciated.

Yours sincerely

School Photos

29 September 2020
Dear Parents/Carers
Tempest photography will be coming into the school on the 16 th November 2020.
Due to these unprecedented times, Tempest will be changing to the new Contactless Photography
service. This has been designed to help be COVID secure. The school will no longer be handing out
proofs, collecting order forms or taking any cash payments from parents/carers.
Parents/carers will receive an email/text with a link so you can order online on their secure
eCommerce website. Parents/carers can opt for our back to school delivery for FREE or pay for
delivery back to their home address.
For the purposes of safeguarding the children in our care, we require your permission to provide
tempest with the students' name and parents/carers contact details. This is uploaded to a
secure site and if preferred this can be removed once the photographs have all been
dispatched.
I would be grateful if you could complete the permission slip below and return it to school as
soon as possible. Please be advised if the permission slips are not completed we will be unable to
provide details to tempest which will result in you being unable to login to their secure system
to purchase your photo.
We realise this is something you may be apprehensive about and may not wish to give permission
for, Please do not hesitate to contact on the above number if you have any queries or worries
around this.
Yours faithfully

Hannah Keegan
Head of School

Contingency Planning Should Pupils Need To Isolate At Home As A Result Of Covid-19.

30th September 2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

I am writing to you regarding our contingency planning should pupils need to isolate at home as a result of Covid-19.

As you are likely aware, the staff and pupils at Fortuna are organised into ‘bubbles’ to limit the transmission of Covid-19 within school. In the event that a bubble has to temporarily close as a result of Covid-19, we will then use a home learning model to ensure our pupils can still access their learning.

It is important that home learning reflects the reality of your home situation and we would greatly value your views on how we can make home learning as accessible as possible. We therefore request that you complete the attached questionnaire to help inform the way we structure our home learning provision.

Thank you for your support and cooperation.

Yours Sincerely

Craig Chaplin

Assistant Head
