Miss Brown, Miss Marriott and Miss Senior
Hello everybody and welcome to our class page. In our team, we have 3 adults - Miss Marriott, Miss Senior and Miss Brown. We have a fantastic class full of wonderful children who brighten our up our days! Take a look below at our current learning and some great pictures too!
This term our topic is Geography based and we will be learning all about maps and developing our map skills.
In English, we are spending this term looking at the wonderful book The True Story of The Three Little Pigs. We will be finding out if the wolf really is BIG and BAD!
This book is written from the wolf's point of view and tells a different story. Do you think he was guilt or innocent?
We will be looking at other versions of traditional tales and writing our own versions too.
We will then move on to looking at poetry and then instructions towards Easter time.
We follow a 5 day programme:
Day 1 - place value, addition and subtraction Day 2 - geometry and data handling Day 3 - measures Day 4 - multiplication, division, decimals, fractions and percentages Day 5 - Mathematical reasoning |
This term we will be focusing on addition and subtraction as well as looking at shapes.
Have a look below at some of our super work we have done in class:
The children also all have a Sumdog and a Times Table Rock Stars account. Please encourage your child to play on this at home. 20 minutes a week is the goal.
RE - This term we are learning about Islam and how Muslims worship.
Science - This term we are learning all about electricity! We will be making our own circuits and designing a doorbell for one of our traditional tales characters.
PSHE - This term we will be looking at mental health week and thinking about how we are connected to other people.
