Reporting Covid Cases During Xmas Break

11th December 2020

Dear parents/carers,

In line with government guidance issued this week, we are asking all parents and carers for their support in helping us to put in place a system, where we will be able to continue to contact parents and carers, should there be a confirmed case of COVID 19 identified within their child's bubble.

As you will be aware, the pupils are in 'bubbles' of two classes (approximately 20 pupils and 6 staff members)

Contacting school:

Therefore if your child develops symptoms within 48 hours of leaving school and then after that receives a positive test result, I ask that you contact the school via the enquiries email address:

This email will be monitored daily between Thursday 17th December and Wednesday 23rd December.

If the school are alerted to a positive test result, staff and parents and carers of pupils within that bubble will be contacted and advised to isolate, as per the government guidelines.

Not necessary to contact school:

Where a pupil or staff member tests positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), having developed symptoms more than 48 hours since being in school, the school should not be contacted. Parents and carers should follow contact tracing instructions provided by NHS Test and Trace.

Therefore you do not need to contact the school for symptoms that may develop after 1pm on Saturday 19th December.

Yours sincerely

Mrs Keegan

Head of School
