Coronavirus Home Learning

Home learning will include activities for reading, writing, spelling/phonics and maths, as well as activities linked to foundation subjects like maths or art and the class topic where appropriate.

You may also make use of your child's Sumdog account to support learning in maths, spelling and grammar. This can be accessed through most internet capable devices and provides a fun way for children to practise core skills.

In instances of longer periods of illness or school absence, class teachers will be in regular contact with parents/careers to offer advice and support and gain feedback regarding pupils work. Where possible please e.mail the school photos of work and updates regarding pupils home learning, this will help inform your child's class teacher about next steps in learning.

Sumdog Every child at Fortuna has a Sumdog subscription. You may be familiar with this as it is used as part of our homework provision. Your child should know their login or have this written on their school diary. They can login and access maths games set at their attainment level. Your child's class teacher can set and track specific maths for your child to focus on remotely.

Oxford Reading Tree eBooks It is important that your child read each day to an adult. They should re-read a book over a period of days to develop fluency. See the guide below to help you access free ebooks for your child's book band.

GoNoodle There are lots of dance and exercise videos to help get you moving at home.

school closures or restrictions on attendance, where school access for pupils is restricted
