Science
We love science in our class and this term we have begun our science topic by identifying and naming parts of a plant.
Children will work scientifically to learn about plants – observing and contrasting, identifying and naming, grouping and sorting, measuring and asking questions. They will learn about plants through a wide range of activities and experiences such as:
- Matching and sorting pictures of plants
- Labelling pictures or plants
- Observing plants via videos or first-hand experiences
- Grouping and classifying pictures and names of plants
- Using books and the internet to research different plants
We will be growing our plants in class and then will be moving to the school garden to create our outdoor growing area. We will upload pictures as we go!
