In Science we have been learning about the human body, we have looked at teeth and the names of each set of teeth and what they are used for. We have had fun learning about teeth and even did a lesson using playdoh to learn the importance of brushing our teeth!
We have now moved on to learning about our digestive systems and the key organs. We have spent time learning the names and functions, but as always in a fun way.

Todays fun Science lesson involved us recreating the human digestive system, we used our hands to act as the mouth and teeth, then added a small amount of water saliva, we then pushed it through a tube into the stomach and mixed it with orange juice to act as the acid to begin to break down the food. Next we squeezed it through the tights which acted like the intestine, showing how the nutrients are absorbed into the body. Finally we squeezed out the waste product!
