History is always important so we make sure the children have as much knowledge as possible about historical events.
This term for history we have been learning about The Romans and Volcanoes that has come with many fun lessons including things like making Roman shields, salt dough volcanoes and even had the pleasure of an outside visitor coming in and tell us about the games they used to play, what they used to eat, their living conditions and about their battle formations. We had a fantastic day and really enjoyed it.
We used our best listening ears whilst Tiberious told us all about how the Romans used to live, what they ate and all sort of interesting facts.
Digging up ancient Roman artifacts.
Practicing our battle formations
After making our own Roman shields we then practiced the Roman battle formations.
