Hello everyone, and welcome to our class page. Our team consists of three adults: Class Teacher Miss Senior and Teaching Assistants Mrs O'Hear and Mrs Holroyd. We have a fantastic class brimming with wonderful children who make our days shine! Below, you can explore our current learning activities.
This term's highlighted book is "The Hodgeheg," which tells the story of a determined hedgehog named Max. Will he discover a path for his family from their home to the park? If humans can manage it, then why not hedgehogs?
We follow a 5 day programme:
Day 1 - place value, addition and subtraction Day 2 - geometry and data handling Day 3 - measures Day 4 - multiplication, division, decimals, fractions and percentages Day 5 - Mathematical reasoning |
This term we will be focusing on Time as well as learning our 3 times tables.
The children also all have a Sumdog and a Times Table Rock Stars account, to help them learn these (logins are in the homework books). Please encourage your child to play on this at home. 20 minutes a week is the goal.
History - We are looking into the Tudor period and discussing the Tudor kings and queens..
Science - This term, we are learning about living things and their habitats,
PE - Our focus this term is Tennis, we are introducing the children to racquet skills, working together and coordination.
When we are not busy learning, we like to have fun. We have all made up a new game that we enjoy playing together on the playground called "survival".
We have to follow rules for each natural disaster such as getting up high for a Tsumani or sheltering from a snow storm.
We have also been enjoying lots of sensory play, making cloud play dough and bird feeders. We have also used our amazing design brains to make CAMS toys that really move!
